The Ministry of Education has called on parents and teachers to continue to support and guide children in love and sincerity towards building a better society.

The State’s Commissioner for Education, Prof. Mohammad Sani Bello made the call at children’s day celebration held at the Kingdom Heritage Model School, Metro, Katsina Road, Kaduna.

Prof. Mohammad Sani Bello who was represented by Director of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Education, Mr. Gideon A. Duniya reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment towards creating access to quality education and health care for every child.

He added that children who are leaders of tomorrow must believe in themselves as the world is full of endless possibilities.

 

Also speaking, Commissioner for Sports, Prof. Benjamin Kumai Gugong who was also represented by Director of Sports Facilities and Technical, Mrs. Mary K. Vayin emphasised the need for children to engage in daily sporting activities.

She stated that early indulgence in Sports leads to mastering which could also become a lucrative business.

In an address, the Resident Pastor, Living Faith Church Katsina Road Branch, Pastor Henry Wisdom encouraged parents to create and spend quality time with their children as this would help them build their self esteem.

He remarked that consequences of neglect affects children when they grow up, affecting the society also, hence turning them to prayer point in the church.

The event was marked with match pass, sporting activities and recitation among other presentations from the children.
