Ahmadu Bello University College of Agriculture Samaru, says it has made significant contribution to the training of middle – level man power in Agriculture.
The Provost of the college, Dr. Usman Ibrahim stated this at the Matriculation Ceremony of newly admitted students for the 2023/2024 academic session held at the College premises in Samaru, Zaria.
Dr Usman Ibrahim noted that the College was not just about acquiring knowledge, rather, challenging assumptions, pushing, boundaries and broadening academic frontiers.
The Provost maintained that the collage offered programmes such as Agricultural Technology, Agric and Bio Environmental Engineering Technology, Science and Laboratories Technology and Home and rural Economics among others.
Dr. Usman Ibrahim said the college Programmes would greatly assist in ensuring food security and reduce poverty for self reliance.
In his remarks, the Director of the Division for Agricultural Colleges at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Professor Musa Abdullahi Mahadi, assured maximum support and cooperation to the college to achieve its desired goals.
He also warned the students to avoid engaging in examination malpractice, Cultism, Drug abuse and Indecent Dressing among others.
Radio Nigeria reports that over five hundred students were matriculated.
