Jigawa Emirs Spearhead Registration, Data Collection Drive for Vulnerable Persons

The committee on registration and data collection of vulnerable persons in Jigawa state has continued its advocacy visit by meeting with the Emirs of Kazaure, Alhaji Najeeb Husseini Adamu, and Ringim, Dr. Sayyadi Mahmoud.

Speaking at the Palaces of the royal fathers, the state Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza AbdulWahab explained that, the enumeration of the beneficiaries would have cover two hundred and eighty seven political wards in the state.

According to her, each ward has two enumerators to facilitate the exercise.

Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab said, the enumerators were directed to work with community leaders in each ward to ensure fairness and justice in the selection of beneficiaries.

Responding, the Emir of Kazaure Alhaji Najeeb Husseini Adamu, who dismissed the insinuation of rating Jigawa among the poorest state in the country, commended the efforts of the state government in that direction.

He also assured his support to the registration exercise.

At the Ringim Emirate, Emir His Royal Highness Dr. Sayyadi Mahmoud who was represented by Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta and District Head of Ringim, Alhaji Nasiru Isah, advised members of the committee to fear Allah in the discharge their duties.
