Jigawa State Pilgrims Praise Gov Namadi, DG for 2024 Hajj Fare Intervention

Intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj from Jigawa State convened a special prayer session to express gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for the one-million-naira intervention provided to each pilgrim in the state.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, Sunusi Ahmed Galamawa and Salisu Ahmed Danmasara from Dutse local government area, who had just attended their daily orientation lectures at Dutse Central Mosque, described the gesture as unexpected from the Governor, adding that it was an act of God Almighty.

“Without the Governor’s financial Intervention before the deadline announced by NAHCON, we would not have been on this stage of attending orientation lectures, but with the good heart of our Governor and the will of Allah, you can clearly testify on the happiness on our faces.

“Some of us here held a special prayer for the Governor and Director General Pilgrims for coming to our aid. May Allah continue to guide and protect him and also the DG Pilgrims for organizing well coordinated education and orientation lectures not only here in Dutse but across the state” they narrated.

Also in an interview, the Director General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said, each pilgrim of had been relieved as a result of the financial support of one million naira given by Governor Umar Namadi.

He said, the Board had also provided traveling kits, hand bags, uniforms for both the male and female intending pilgrims from the state.

Labbo further explained that, he led other officials of the board to series of tours and visitations to relevant facilities and stakeholders involved in the success of the exercise such as the Dutse International Airport to ensure the smooth operations of this year’s hajj exercise among others.

The Pilgrims Boss commended Governor Umar Namadi for the support and cooperation given to the board.
