Niger Gov Urges Nigerians to Maintain Positivity Amidst Current Hardships

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has appealled to Nigerians to be patient with the Governments at all level on the current hardship being experience, saying that it is not permanent.

While insisting that the problem would be overcomed the Governor however would wants Nigerians to remain steadfast in offering prayers for peace, unity and progress of the country.

The Governor who made the appeal at the closing of Dr Umar Farook Abdullahi Nupe Tafsir Organisation held at the Gidan Matasa in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger state said prayer remain the viable option.

Represented by the State Head of Service Engineer Salihu Abubakar Governor Umar Bago maintained that it is not the intention of governments at all level to come up with programmes that may end up impacting negatively on its people unless such decisions became necessary.

In a message to the closing ceremony the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers Alh Yahaya Abubakar appealled to Muslims to intensify efforts in seeking lslamic knowledge to enhance their status.

Represented by the Wamban Nupe Alh Ndagi Aliyu the Etsu Nupe Alh Yahaya Abubakar advised Nigerians to continue to pray for leaders and respect the constituted authority.

Dr Umar Farook Abdullahi while reading from the communique attributed the current hardship bedeviling Nigerians to the removal of fuel subsidy as all policies such as palliative introduced by Federal Government to reduce such sufferings were not working.

Dr Umar Faruk therefore called for the immediate reversal of subsidy on fuel and electricity tariff and describing the subsidy on Hajj by Federal Government as grossly inadequate as well as cautioned Nigerians against engaging in any form of uprising.

Also speaking Niger state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education Hadiza Asabe Mohammed charged parents to ensure proper upbringing of their ward to enable them became responsible leaders of tomorrow.
