Muslims in Kwara state joined their counterparts across the world to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri which marks the end of Ramadan Fasting .

Gailly dressed Muslims were seen in their numbers moving to the Eid -praying ground to observe the two Raka’at prayer.

In his sermon at the end of the two Raka’at prayer,the chief Imam of Ilorin in Kwara state,Imam Muhammad Bashir-Solihu advised Muslims to obey the God’s commandments in discharging their duties.

He said they should remember to include the country in their prayers to achieve peace.

Imam Bashir-Solihu also urged Muslims to pray for the leaders to enable them succeed in directing the affairs of the country.

He also advised them to continue with the good deeds imbibed during Ramadan .

In his message the Emir of Ilorin,Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari urged Muslims and other residents of the state not to relent in their prayers for God to put an end to the challenges in the country.

He advise worshippers to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid overheating the polity.
