KNSG Seeks Enhanced Collaborative Support From British Government

Kano state Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf has solicited for more collaborative relationship and support from the British Government.

He made the plea when he received the new British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Montgomery on courtesy visit in his office at government House Kano.

He said that the areas were such collaborative relationships were highly needed are education, health, agriculture, institutional reforms, climate change and social reforms.

The governor also expressed the need by the British Government to continue to invest in the state, as it is in need of more foreign investors and industries.

While recalling the long lasting relationship between Kano and the British Government, Governor Yusuf appreciated their kind support in various sectors of human endeavour through the Foreign and Common Wealth Development Office (FCDO) and other related multi and bilateral organizations.

He then used the avenue to congratulate the the new British High Commissioner, hoping that their relationship with Kano will continue to wax stronger.

Earlier the British High Commissioner, Mr. Richard Montgomery disclosed that he was at the government House for a familiarization visit, as well as to have an opportunity to discuss areas of collaboration with Kano state Government

The High Commissioner indicated an interest in the supporting the state in the areas of education, health, agriculture, and government efficiency among others.

He then congratulated Abba Kabir Yusuf for his electioneering success that paved way for him to assume the mantle of leadership as the Governor of Kano state.
