Kwara State Government has received one thousand two hundred ( 1,200) bags of rice from the Federal Government for distribution to the less privileged through local government structures in the state.

In a statement, Governor AbdulRazq spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye says the State government has directed the immediate distribution of the food items to the less privileged.

The statement explains that the local government authorities are expected to supervise the distribution to achieve the desired result.

The statement notes that various stakeholders, including community-based groups and traditional institutions will be consulted to generate the list of the beneficiaries on a non-partisan basis.

The statement expresses appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the kind gesture.
