Kano State : PCACC Committed To Prosecution Of Corruption Cases – Chairman

The Chairman of Kano State Anti- Graft Agency, Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, says the Commission would not relent in exercising its constitutional powers of investigation and prosecuting corrupt cases.

Rimin Gado disclosed this while speaking to Newsmen in Kano .

He said that the commission had a court of appeal judgment that allowed it to investigate not only executive members of government agencies, but as well as those working in the judiciary.

The anti graft agency boss maintained that nothing will stop the it from investigating any person allegedly found with corrupt cases in the state.

“Court of appeal says the Commission has the power without even writing a letter to Chief Judge to investigate not only former executive members of Kano state but even the judicial staff”.

” We are appealing to the good people of Kano State to come forward and support the commission as they always do”.

“Even this issue was reported to the commission by a whistle blower,we want to continue and would not be deterred in any way ,we are on course; we are doing it professionally and within the ambit of the law”.

I a related development, a Kano High Court on Tuesday granted administrative bail to the former Managing Director of the Kano Agricultural Supply Company limited (KASCO), Bala Inuwa.

Kano Anti-corruption Commission (PCACC) charged Inuwa with alleged diversion of N4 billion grant.

He is being charged alongside his son, Muhammad, niece, Halima, Najib Muhammad and Incorporated Trustees of the Association of Compassionate Friends.
