All Progressive Congress APC Chieftain Alhaji Sabi’ u Sa’idu Mahuta says communities in Kafur LGA of Katsina State should anticipate change in their representation with the arrival of the new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Bello Hussaini Kagara.
Alhaji Sabi’u Mahuta made this statement while interacting with newsmen following the inauguration of the Katsina State Executive Council members on Tuesday in Katsina.
Alhaji Sabi’u Sai’du Mahuta mentioned that it was the first time the communities had the privilege to nominate individuals for appointment to the State Executive Council, and this opportunity allowed them to make a sensible decision by putting forward Alhaji Bello Hussaini Kaduna, who has been actively involved in politics for more than thirty years.
“His political antecedents are unmatched in the area in terms of accessibility, sharing of their joys and sorrows, attending the challenges of education, youth and women empowerment, peaceful coexistence”
“Alhaji Bello Kagara’s appointment holds various meanings for different individuals within the council. The new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning is notably the only person who consistently supports the people, interacts with them, and shares their emotions. He is easily approachable to the grassroots, has gained the people’s confidence and trust, and they value his opinions and guidance”
“This gentleman has been offered the opportunity to become a commissioner since 1993, but declined and rather nominated others to serve.This is the sixth time he was given the opportunity to serve as a member at the executive council.
“Even this time around he vehemently rejected the offer, but we went back to re-strategize, resolved among ourselves under the leadership of our father, the immediate past governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Maisari, and agreed that whether he likes it or not, we’re not even asking or seeking for his consent, he would be nominated and also ensured that he accepted the nomination and go on to serve in the state executive council.
“Allah in His infinite mercy touched the heart of Alhaji Kagara and the rest is now history,” Alhaji Sabi’u Sai’du Mahuta narrated.
The APC Chieftain explained that the local citizens were joyful and their hopes have been renewed knowing that a grassroots politician, a native of the area, is now a member of the state executive council. With this development, they are optimistic about not being excluded or sidelined in decision-making processes.
