NAF Tasks Personnel On Professionalism

Nigerian Airforce has charged its personnel to uphold the value of professionalism for effective service delivery.

Chief of policy and plans, headquarters NAF, Air Vice Marshal Sayo Olatunde gave the charge at the beating of the retreat held in honour of recruits of basic military training course 43/2022 held at NAF base, Kaduna State.

Air Vice Marshal Sayo Olatunde explained that the recruits’ collective commitment to professionalism is paramount if the service is to effectively discharge its constitutional role of defending national security and interests.

He reminded them on the need to be good ambassadors, practicalize the culture of discipline that has been inculcated in them and guard against reckless use of any equipment or resources placed at their disposal to achieve NAF overall objectives.

Also speaking, Commandant of the military training centre, Air Commodore Olusola Fredrick Akinboyewa explained that the evaluation of the recruits training focuses on promoting human capacity development by providing rigourous and outcome driven training to enhance their professional performance.

He disclosed that the recruits have been grounded on the core values of integrity, excellence and service before self with a high promise of quality service delivery.

Beating of the retreat is an event that signals the end of formal military training exercises and other organised activities.

A total of One Thousand, One hundred and twenty-three recruits are expected to pass out this weekend.

Highpoints of the event were combat and cultural display by some of the recruits, as well as presentation of trophies and awards to deserving recruits.
