FUD Matriculates Over 3,930 Students

The Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutse, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed has described the university as one of the most preferred university in the Northwest region by students.

He stated this during the 11th matriculation ceremony of the university held in Dutse, Jigawa state capital.

According to him, a total of 23,951 applicants applied for various program in  FUD, adding that MBBS program alone had the highest number of application with a total number of 3,893 applications while the MDCN quota is only 100.

Professor Abdulkarim Sabo congratulated the matriculating students who were very lucky to gain admission into the university.

He added that, admission into FUD has become competitive because of the success recorded in the university over the years and the popularity of the programs being run by the institution.

Professor Abdulkarim Sabo said this year’s admission is particularly competitive because of the combination of the 2021/2022 set.

The VC advised the students to adhere strictly to the matriculation oath and restrain themselves from vices such as examination malpractices/misconduct, cultism, drug abuse, fighting and stealing among others.

Professor Abdulkarim appealed to students to observe the dress code rules and behave well while on campus.

He noted that, any students with complain should channel it through the Dean of Students Affairs, SUG or the various staff advisers on campus in order to resolve it amicably.
