Kwara NSCDC Arrests 6 Over Railway Slippers Vandalisation

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kwara state Command has arrested six (6) suspects with two trucks loaded with Railway Slippers at Oloru, Moro local government area of the state.

Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Ilorin, the state Commandant, Umar Mohammed said the suspects were arrested at 12 midnight.

According to him, the suspects arrested include Yunusa Bello, Sanni Taminu, Sanusi Lawal, Alhaji Makeri, Lukman Sanni, and Olabode Johnson.

Commandant Umar warned those involved in vandalizing National Critical Assets and Infrastructures to desist from the act.

Meanwhile, the command has also paraded another suspect, Babatunde Adekunle who allegedly specialized in Automated Teller Machine (ATM ) fraud.

The Commandant said Babatunde was alleged to have fraudulently swapped his ATM card with an Old man at one of the ATM points in a bank.

He explained that having swapped the card, he allegedly withdrew the sum of One million, eight hundred thousands naira from the account.

Commandant Umar said all the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
