Inferno: Kano Records 9 Deaths In June -Fire Service

Kano state Fire Service, has confirmed the death of nine persons, due to inferno in the month of June 2023.

The Public Relations Officer of the agency, Alhaji Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, made the disclosure to newsmen in Kano.

According to him, 26 lives were saved from different fire disasters, across the 27 fire stations in the state.

He stressed that, estimated properties destroyed by fire disaster stood at #6,700,500, while #17,200,000 worth of properties were saved, during the month under review.

Saminu Yusif explained that, Kano state Fire Service received 22 fire calls, eighteen rescue calls and four false alarms.

The Public Relations Officer noted that, there’s a reduction on the number of deaths, as 16 people lost their lives in the month of may 2023.

“Estimated properties destroyed by fire in May is #21, 350,000 “.

He advised the public to handle fire and electric appliances with care, abide by traffic rules and regulations, to avoid accidents.
