Plateau Gov. Swears-In New Permanent Secretaries

Plateau State Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has sworn in four new Permanent Secretaries as part of efforts to revive the State Civil service.

The swearing-in ceremony which was held at the government House Little Rayfield in Jos the State Capital had in attendance the presence of the state lawmakers, security chiefs party faithfuls amongst other.

Speaking at the event Governor Muftwang said the swearing-in marks the repositioning of the civil service which is the engine room of Government, that It has become necessary to add a number of persons to the existing ones to pilot the affairs of the civil service.

He said, this was by no means an end to appointments and promised to look out for those who deserve to be appointed and reward them accordingly
to ensure that confidence in the civil service was restored.

Mutfwang Charged the Newly sworn in Permanent Secretaries to take thier task seriously and ensure they use thier position to reinvegorate the office they are occupying.

Speaking on the Security Situation in the State, Governor Mutfwang said the newly appointed Special Adviser on Security Brig. General Gakiji Shipi is a well trained security consultant who was carefully picked to help fight the security issues affecting the State, noting that the state is lucky to have such a valuable instructor who is also son of the soil.

He said he is swearing him in, ahead of others because the security situation in the State needs prompt and urgent attention.

The Governor said some steps and measures had been put in place, and by the Grace of God it would bring an end to the killings.

He further called on leaders at every strata of the Society to rise to the occasion and nip the menace in the bud.

Speaking onbehalf of the Permanent Secretaries Mr. Narmam Kparbong thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve as Permanent Secretaries and assured to discharge thier responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
