Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. AbbasTajuddeen has described the appointment of Malam Nuhu Ribadu, as National Security Adviser, Service Chiefs, and Acting Comptroller General of Customs as a decision that serves the interest of Nigerians.

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Malam Musa Abdullahi Kirshi, the Speaker also congratulated Maj. Gen. C.G Musa as Chief of Defence Staff; Maj. T. A. Lagbaja Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admirral E. A. Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff.

Other appointees congratulated by the Speaker include AVM H. B. Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff; DIG Kayode Egbetokun as the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Adeniyi Bashir Adewale Acting Inspector General of Police stressing that the appointees would surely rejuvenate the security architecture of the country.

Dr Abbas Tajuddeen who lauded President Tinubu for taking the bold decision that would make the current administration begin on a sound footing confirmed that the all the appointments were subject to the approval of the national Assembly.

The Speaker however, urged the newly appointed officers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the new assignments so as to turn things around in the security system for the peace and economic growth of the nation.
