Nigerian Army Explore Ways Of Tackling Emerging Security Threats

Nigerian Army has organized a week long workshop aimed at developing realistic training that would enhance its operations.

Declaring the workshop open, General Officer Commanding One Division Kaduna, Major General Olufemi Akinjobi said the workshop was organised to enhance and improve the skills and capacities of participants in single and joint service operations planning processes in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s vision.

He pointed out that in view of the increasing complex in the nature of threats and advancement in technology, armies worldwide continually engage in training and capacity building to enable them surmount emerging security challenges.

The GOC noted that the division’s planning cadre for this year is expected to explore ways of consolidating efforts to meet operational needs in the areas of warfare and operations planning, military decision making process among others.

Major General Akinjobi charged participants to have an open mind in order to derive maximum benefits from the workshop.

The workshop, which was organised by the operations planning cadre of the division for officers within the ranks of captain to colonel, also drew participants from sister security agencies.
