
People’s Democratic Party in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State has won the State House of Assembly Election.
The candidate of the Party Ali Kalat won his contending rivals with twenty six thousand, six hundred and forty votes.
Declaring the winner, returning officer
Professor Dauda Ishaya said the winner has satisfied all requirements after scoring the highest point and is therefore declared the winner.
Responding, Ali Kalat described the election as very transparent and peaceful , adding that his reelection is an opportunity to do better for people of his constituency.
“I am an experience law maker now having done four years, and I will lobby more for my people and ensure a robust relationship that will help boost and improve their livelihoods “,he said
“there are ideas that can come from those I contend with at the polls,and I am calling on them to bring such ideas forward so as the local government and state will benefit from it”,he added
He stressed that governance is about the people and enhancing their livelihoods , hence the need for all those elected to make sure thier policies are friendly and their government is inclusive.
