National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has called on Nigerians to be patient with the electoral Body on the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly election results collation process.

The Executive Secretary of NHRC, Chief Tony Ojukwu made the call in Abuja at the monthly review Forum on Human Rights and the 2023 elections.

Chief Ojukwu, emphasized that Nigerians must come together to support all efforts aimed at deepening the nation’s democratic system.

The Chairman, Transition Monitoring Group, Musa Auwal Rafsanjani, emphasized that despite some challenges witnessed in Saturday’s election, the electoral body recorded tremendous success that should be commended by all.

According to the National Coordinator , Legal Defence and Assistance Project, Mr. Chinoye Obiagwu, if INEC had uploaded the results into the Portal from the Polling units as earlier planned, Nigerians would not had raised concerns with the ongoing process.

The Monthly review forum also called on stakeholders in electoral process to improve on areas of challenges in the last election ahead of the Governorship and the State Houses of Assembly elections next month.
