Emir Of Kano Canvasses Increased Women’s Participation In Politics

Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has called for inclusion of women in politics to move the nation forward.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero made the call, while receiving the wife of APC presidential candidate, Senator Remi Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, in his palace.

According to him, women have a vital role to play in Nigeria’s democracy through credible and peaceful election which would only be possible if given the opportunity.

The Emir explained that, the visit would go a long way in paving way for the wife of the APC flag bearer to discuss with women to know their needs and aspirations.

In her remarks, Senator Remi Asiwaju Tinubu said she was in Kano to engage women and inform them of what Asiwaju and Kashim would prioritize if elected.

She identified, education, health, agriculture, security, commerce and entrepreneurship training for women as cardinal objectives of the APC.

The wife of the presidential candidate called on women to vote for APC in the forthcoming general elections to enjoy dividends of democracy.

” Asiwaju and Shettima would come up with incentives that would ensure enrollment, intention, transition and completion of girls education.

After the visit to the palace, the wife of the APC presidential candidate headed to Kano government house for a town hall meeting with women.

Speaking during the town hall meeting, Kano state First Lady, Professor Hafsat Ganduje stressed that, Dr. Abdullah Umar Ganduje’s administration has prioritized women by engaging them in politics and governance.

She noted that, it is a collective responsibility for all to put hands together to ensure that APC emerged victorious in the forthcoming general election.

“it is only kano state that has declared free and compulsory education”

The town hall meeting was attended by Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, wife of Kano state deputy governor, over sixty women groups, commissioners, wives of local government chairmen and house of assembly members, party officials, journalists among others .
