Niger state government says it is working assiduously to mitigate the hardship faced by Nigerlites due to the introduction of the cashless policy of Central Bank of Nigeria.

State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello stated this in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Minna by Secretary to the State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane.

According to the statement, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has sympathized with Nigerlites  following the continued difficulty they have been facing in an effort to comply with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cashless policy and redesigned naira notes.

It however says that the Governor was deeply moved by the attendant consequences of the policy which has been affecting it’s citizens, especially the scarcity of naira notes.

The statement further explains that  “Government is aware that the situation has been the most difficult experience in the last few days as many Nigerlites have encountered challenges in going about this process”.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello also pleaded with the people of Niger State to remain calm as appropriate measures would be taken by the Government to ameliorate their hardship.

It further reveals that while Government like most Nigerlites believes that the public is facing untold hardship due to this policy, it passionately appealed to the Federal Government to find lasting solution this problem.
