Gov Ganduje Forwards Commissioner-Nominee To Kano Assembly

Kano state House of Assembly has received a nomination letter from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for confirmation of Alhaji Muhammad Nazifi Bichi, as commissioner and member of the state executive council.

Reading the letter during today’s plenary session, the Speaker, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, pointed out that, the executive was seeking the approval of the House, regarding the appointment of the nominee.

After careful deliberations, the House adopted the letter and requested the nominee to appear for screening on Tuesday 31st January 2023.

Similarly, the House had also received a letter from the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), seeking for approval to appoint Alhaji Baba Hamidu Yelwa and Bello Abdullahi, as education secretaries of Dala and Bebeji local government areas.

The letter was committed to the House standing committee on SUBEB, to screen the nominees and present report on Wednesday 1st February, 2023.

In another development, Kano state Pension and Gratuity Amendment Law, House of Assembly Service Commission Amendment Law and Kano State Traffic Law, had scaled second reading on the floor of the House.

The House adjourned it’s sitting to Tuesday 31st January, 2023 in a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari Member representing Warawa, and seconded by member representing Bagwai/Shanono constituency Alhaji Ali Ibrahim Isa
