NSCDC Trains 266 Local Hunters, Vigilante On Security In Kwara

At least two hundred and sixty-six (266) vigilante and hunters have been trained by Kwara state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ahead of the 2023 General elections.

Speaking on the occasion at the passing out parade of the trainees in Baruten, Kwara State Commandant of the Corps, Muhammed Tukur advised the residents of the state to shun all acts that are capable of truncating the forthcoming election.

Represented by the Corps’ Area Commander in Baruten, Muntari Zakari, the Commandant declared the readiness of all security agencies in the State to ensure a hitch free general election.

Tukur appealed to all residents of the state to contribute their quota toward ensuring safety and security.

The ommandant noted that the security empowerment put in place by the Corps for vigilante and hunters is meant to prepare them to complement the efforts of security agencies in their various communities.
