We Are Committed To Mapping Out Policies To Uplift Religious Affairs -Ganduje

Kano state government has reiterated it’s commitment to mapping out policies and programs aimed at uplifting the standards of religious affairs in the state.

The state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, made the indication while inaugurating Juma’at Mosque at Hisbah headquarters Sharada Kano.

Governor Ganduje, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, maintained that, the state had initiated new programs aimed at strengthening the Board, due to it’s immense contributions to the development of Kano.

Also speaking, Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, highlighted the emirate’s dedication in supporting innovations according to Islamic teachings.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who was represented by Walin Kano, Alhaji Bashir Mahe Bashir, charged philanthropists and wealthy individuals to contribute their quota by assisting Hisbah to achieve the desired objectives.

On modalities put in place to ensure successful conversion, the Commander General Kano state Hisbah Board, Sheikh Dr Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina noted that, three imams and their deputies were appointed to oversee the affairs of the Juma’at Mosque.

He pointed out that, the Board had recorded tremendous achievements, in the fight against drug peddling and abuse, street begging, alternative dispute resolution and other societal vices.

In his remarks, the pioneer Commander General, Kano state Hisbah Board, Professor Umar Sani Fagge described the upgrade of the mosque as apt.

He said, the mosque was established over 20 years ago, as salawatul khams, where five daily prayers were conducted and now as a Juma’at Mosque.

The Commander General, Sheikh Ibn Sina lead the first Juma’at prayer, which was attended by chairman Kano municipal local government area, Alhaji Fai’zu Alfindiki, commissioners from Zakkah and Shari’a commission, dignitaries and Islamic scholars in the state.
