Labour Party Inaugurates 450 Campaign Council Members in Kaduna

Over four hundred members of Governorship Campaign Council for the Labour Party in Kaduna State has been inaugurated towards full commencement of campaign activities preparatory for next month general election.

At the event in Kaduna, National Secretary of the party Mallam Umar Farouk Ibrahim introduced two Kaduna State Serving House of Assembly members who decamped to the party and became House of Representative candidates for their constituencies.

The National Secretary described the inauguration as the

most blessed and important moment of labour
party in the whole of Northern Nigeria because of the high profile personalities in attendance including a former Chief of Staff to Kaduna State government.

Mallam Umar Farouk Ibrahim maintained that the rich manifestos of the gubernatorial candidate Mr. Jonathan Asake is so promising to the state and should not only be used for campaign purposes but be kept in national and state libraries for reference and educational purposes.

The Governorship candidate of the party, Mr. Jonathan Asake said his five point manifesto focuses on security, education, health, agriculture , women and youths development among others.

Mr. Jonathan Asake pledged to work in harmony with his running mate Mallam Bashir Aliyu Idris in fairness, equity, justice, security and the restoration of hope to Kaduna residents if given opportunity to be governor of the state.

Earlier, State Chairman of Labour Party Mallam Auwal Tafoki thank all the dignitaries that attended the event and urged the members of the campaign council to work assiduously towards success of the party in the general elections.
