Gov AbdulRazq Urges Religious Adherent To Promote National Development

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazq has urged all religious adherent to promote healthy debate on diversity and ensure national growth and development in the country.

Governor AbdulRazq made the call in his message at the opening ceremony of the 79th National Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) programme organized by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, in 19 Northern States and Abuja held in Ilorin.

He said there was the need for concerted efforts of all the religious group to ensure national Unity.

AbdulRazq urged all religious faithfuls to sustain the teachings and tenets of the religion to ensure peaceful coexistence .

He also appealed to parents and other stakeholders to collectively address the decadence and near collapse of morality among the youths.

In his keynote address, former Governor of Kano state, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau urged the youths to continue to live up to their expectations despite all odds.

In his remark on the occasion, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, represented by the Balogun Gambari, Alhaji Aliyu Adebayo advised the youths to use the period of the training to learn good things that would benefit them and the society.

In his address, the Chairman “A” zone of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Mallam Muhammed Bin Isa commended the federal and Kwara State governments for putting in place numerous youths inclusive programmes.

He said the idea would reduce the problem of youths restiveness to the minimum.

Mallam Muhammed Bin Isa advised the youths not to allow themselves to be used for political thuggery in the coming 2023 general election.

In his speech, the Chairman Council of Hosting fathers and mentors for the 79th National Islamic Vacation Course, Justice Idris Haroon, said the training would make the youths good leaders.

He urged parents and guardians to encourage their wards to play active role in programmes that would promote peace and development.

In his keynote address, the National Missioner of Ansaruldeen Society of Nigeria, Imam Ahmad Abdulrahman urged Muslims to promote knowledge and scholarship among the populace.

He advised religious adherent to shun extremism and promote unity in the society.
