Badaru Signs Jigawa State 2023 Budget Into Law

Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Badaru Abubakar has signed the 2023 budget after the state house of assembly passed it with no increase from the amount of 172 billion naira presented to them.

Speaking shortly after signing of the budget, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar expressed his satisfaction on the state budget performance in the last seven years of his administration.

He explained that, the 2023 budget was designed to consolidate on all the gains made in the last seven years particularly in the area of physical and human capital development.

According to him, the 2023 budget will be used to complete most of the ongoing projects in the state.

“In the last 7 years we were able to constructs over 1,700 km roads, achieved 95 percent access to waters, improved our GDP with over 100 percent, built and renovate over 6,000 class rooms”.

“Through effective budget implementation in our eduction sector, we are able to improve our education sector and the results shown in our students WAEC/NECO results from 4.5 percent to over 60 percent of those who obtained 5 credits including Mathematics and English”.

Badaru therefore, promised to ensure that the people continue to enjoy dividends of democracy throughout his tenure.
