Women in Chikun and Kajuru Federal Constituency have been urged to vote female representatives vyeing for leadership position in the region for adequate representation.
The candidate of African Democratic Congress, Chikun Kajuru Federal constituency Hauwa Abdullahi Gambo stated this during a media parley at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat in Kaduna.
Hauwa Abdullahi Gambo stressed that resilient women don’t joke with responsibilities given to them which is reflected in the way they handle their homes, hence the need for the electorates to trust them with their votes.
“If you cannot run a home successful without a woman, what makes you think you can run a nation successful without her? without doubt when women are in a place of leadership,a larger percentage of the problems is solved”
“i want to assure you that one of the most significant places of nation building that would have served as a strong piller has been neglected for decades,the women folks; and when we bring them back to the table of leadership, we will begin to heal and return back on the path of sustainable development”
“today, women have risen and are offering themselves for service and we are asking you to give us your votes because it will matter”,she explained.
She appealed to women to come out in their numbers and occupy their leadership space that have remained vacant for decades for sustainable progress of the country.
The House of Representatives candidate assured that the country needed more people with fresh ideas that will move the country forward to the desired heights.
“i come with a mandate of rehabilitating, supporting and building the women of my constituency because they have suffered.from those whose spouses and children have been killed or kidnapped and those that are displaced which she said if given the mandate,they will be supported and reintegrated back to the society”,she added
Talking on the number of graduates running the street especially in Chikun Kajuru Federal Constituency, the house of representatives hopefull reassured that she will train unemployed youths and equip them for job opportunities outside the country.
“we are going to mop up the number of our unemployed youths and expose them to both local and global opportunities in ICT capacity building and the use of the internet; and we will remind them of their responsibilities to leadership in their respective homes and constituency”,she said.
She decried the state of the nation where basic neccesities of life are still at the forefront of discussion.
“We are still talking about the girl child education,out of school children, infant mortality, maternal mortality which are issues that are easily solvable with deliberate, intentionally and good leadership “,she concluded.
Hauwa Abdullahi Gambo is optimistic that within the next four years if given the mandate, purposeful and improved leadership will be felt by the constituency where all areas that need attention will be taken care of.
