The Centre For Integrated Health Programmes CIHP in Nigeria has launched a digital application known as Cool Girls mobile app for experience sharing on relationships and health related issues among adolescent Girls.

Senior program manager of CIHP Kaduna Jessica Hayab who lauched the app said it was established after critical analysis and research aimed at HIV prevention, treatment and support for the adolescent girls.

According to her, the app works like the normal social media platforms such as facebook and instagram with clear focus on sensitizing the adolescent girls on vulnerabilty and related issues that are unique to them.

Jessica Hayab explained that CIHP is working in Lagos, Kogi Gombe and Kaduna states and commited to promoting better health to all Nigerians through sensitizatiion and partnership.

The event facilitator, Mr. Hosea Bako who explained how the app works said it enables the adolescent girls to ask questions and get instance response to reduce especially cases of sexual vulnerability and Gender Based Violence.

He emphasised that the app can be access at mobile phone and any computer playstore and only adolescent girls and women are allowed join.

Some participants Thelma Peter, Fatimah Muhammed Sani and Patience Zakari commended the launch stressing the the event also enabled them to learn how to relate with each other and also how to escape the sugar daddy syndrome for a better future healthy living.
