Gubernatorial Candidate Of PRP In Kaduna Charges Media On Professionalism Ahead Of 2023 Polls

People”s Redemption PARTY (PRP) Gubernatorial Candidate in Kaduna State has called upon the Media to contribute their quota professionally in forthcoming 2023 General Election.

The candidate Mallam Hayyatudeen Lawal made the call at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna maiden media parley with candidates of political parties where he unveiled his three point agenda, of social Justice, economic and Human Capital Development.

Mallam Hayyatudeen Lawal said the Media as fourth estate of the realm owe it the public to give accurate account of the happenings and even bring to open negative tendencies by persons and institutions or otherwise that may affect the public.

my only call to the journalists is that 2023 is not just about politicians nor the hype of political activities, we want to challenge you to play your roles as professionals in journalism; and that the impact of the information you send across would help the people decide who becomes their leader come 2023′,he said

He reoched the importance of right leadership to take Kaduna out of the present predicament it find itself where he promised to take the state to the right destination when given the opportunity.

we are at a point where we want to see leadership at its best, we can no longer afford to have leadership the way it has been in the last 20 years’,

in terms of resources,human and otherwise, Kaduna has been blessed in every ramifications but lacks who to manage them more effectively’,he explained.

The gubernatorial candidate who also called for Kaduna State and the country at large to move from a consumption to production nation appealed to residents and the youth in the state especially, to embrace his movement as they represent the younger majority who are innovative, creative and have the best interest of the country at heart.

Mallam Hayatudeen Lawal also noted that key sectors in need of revamp in the state include tourism , small scale industries and information communication technology which will bring about economic development .

‘Dubai is one of the greatest economies of the world due to its robust tourism sector and Kaduna state must key into it to attract foreign investment and upscale it’s revenue generation’, he concluded.

He said if he emerges , his administration will also work closely with religious institutions to forestall crisis and they will spearhead the process of uniting residents irrespective of religious or cultural differences .
