PDP Women Leaders Tasked On Grassroot Campaign Mobilization

Election in a democratic setting is a game of number, and a platform through which leaders emerge to champion the affairs of the people to ensure effective and purposeful representation in governance for inclusive growth development.

To achieve this therefore, citizens must participate actively in the political activities of their land by performing their franchise, engage in political mobilization and sensitization, alongside involving in politically related activities especially as the 2023 general elections draws near.

In view of this, the Kaduna South Senatorial District’s women leaders , hosted wife of the Kaduna state PDP running mate for the 2023 gubernatorial election Mrs. Deborah Ayuba in a strategic campaign planning and execution meeting in the state.

The women leaders were optimistic that if power returns to the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP come 2023, the nation would be secured and experience economic growth to deliver citizens from the myriads of challenges of bad governance.

Mrs. Deborah Ayuba in her address urged women leaders across the zone to stay focus and ensure inclusiveness in their resolve to bring back the Party’s glory.

She pointed out the need for women leaders to work round the clock in all the nooks and crannies of the state, including their senatorial zones and local government areas, to get supporters needed to secure victory for the party.

Mrs. Ayuba stressed the need for women leaders to diversify means of their campaigns through strong grassroot representation from wards to polling units, with a view to canvassing support for the party.

” it’s pertinent for every woman leader to be steadfast at ensuring that all supporters of the party play by the rules, rather than engage in Politics of propaganda and columny that would be inimical to achieving the set goals and objectives”.

Director General, Kaduna state women campaign council Mrs. Rhoda Garba hinted that, Ashiru/Ayuba’s movement had been endorsed by different support groups from zone one and two, noting that, over seventy percent had adopted the PDP governorship candidate for the 2023 election.
