Federal government says the ongoing construction a standard correctional facility in Kano will soon be completed and utilized.
The Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbosola stated this when he paid an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the facility in Kano.
Ha said the federal government will ensure that enough fund for the completion of the project is being provided in next year’s budget to ensure the completion of the facility.
“I hope we will have enough provision in the budget for next year to fully complete this facility and put it to use”
Alhaji Ogbeni Rauf Aregbosola noted that the present administration would not relent in ensuring that the facility is completed and fully utilized before the end of its tenure.
It could be recalled that the construction of the world standard correctional facility was initiated with the capacity of 3000 inmates which will be cited in in Abuja, Kano, Rivers states.
