Tinubu Plans to Accord Agriculture the Desired Attention

The All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerian farmers of his readiness to establish a commodity board for strategic crops if elected as president in the twenty twenty three general elections.

This is with a view to boosting the economy of farmers and bring about complete rebirth of Nigerian agriculture for maximum benefits.

He gave the assurance at a town hall meeting with farmers Agro and commodities group held in Minna the Niger state capital.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu explained that it would also helped to make their produce more competative and internationally recognised.

 According to him the crops will comprise of cashew cassava cocoa rubber and groundnut among others while the Bank of Agriculture will be restructured for effective service delivery.

He however announced Kebbi state Governor Senator Atiku Bagudu as the Chairman of all farmers committee with a mandate of coming up with a workeable blue print for adoption.

Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello who described the meeting as apt and timely said his administration has contructed many roads across the state in addition to general overhaul of education sector in view of it’s important as a vertable tool for socio economic development of any state or country

National Chairman of APC Senator Abdullahi Adamu maintained that agriculture is largest single employer of labour saying that the future of Nigeria rest on massive production or agricultural products..

Director Genaral of Tinubu Shettima Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau state Governor Mr Simon Bako Lalong and his Kebbi state counterpart Atiku Bagudu were of the opinion that Tinubu and Shettima are the best option for Nigeria and that agriculture will be accorded prominence.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu also visited the former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his hilltop residence in Minna.
