Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar and President General Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has declared today the 26 of October 2022 as the first day of Rabi’ul Thani 1444 after Hijira.
This was made known in a statement signed by the chairman Advisory committee on religious affairs Sultanate council Sokoto state, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu.
He said the Sultanate council did not receive any information from various Moon sighting committee across the country confirming the sighting of the crescent of RABI’UL THANI yesterday the 25th of October 2022, equivalent to Islamic calendar 29th of RABIUL AWWAL 1444 After Hijira .
