The public have been advised to imbibe the spirit of integrity which shows the quality of honesty and strong moral principles of an individual.

The Kano state Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Alhaji Lawal Haruna Makarfi made the assertion, during an award presentation to winners of the second edition of the integrity club national competition.

The State Director, who was represented by Deputy Director Special Services, Alhaji Salisu Waziri Kutama, explained that NOA established the integrity clubs to inculcate good moral values, among secondary school students in the country.

He charged youths to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, saying that as leaders of tomorrow, they have a vital role to play in mitigating drug abuse, corruption and other societal vices.

Alhaji Lawal Haruna noted that three secondary schools have emerged winners of the second edition of the integrity club national competition.

“We are here to present a token to the schools that emerged 1st, 2nd and 3rd”.

In his welcome address, the Commandant Air Force comprehensive secondary school Kano, Wing Commander Mustapha Garba described integrity as the cradle of good character development among youths.

The Commandant, who was represented by Squadron Leader, S.S Habu charged NOA to cascade the integrity club to primary schools.

Wing Commander Mustapha Garba highlighted that the core value of the Nigerian air force is integrity first, saying that the establishment of the integrity club was apt due to the problems bedevilling the country.

“Our core value and tradition is integrity first before service and excellence”.

Radio Nigeria reports that, NOA as a federal government agency saddled with responsibilities of re-orientating people from societal vices, came up with an integrity club for secondary schools.

However, Air force comprehensive secondary school Kano emerged the overall winner, Government girls technical college Kano and federal government college Kano took second and third positions respectively.
