Emir of Kaura Namoda, Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha has condole Nigerian Army over the death of Major Sampson Raymond and 2 other soldiers in a bandits ambush at Yardole village in the Emirate.

The emir who paid the condolence visit to the Commander, 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, Gusau Brigadier General CA Baushe said, major Raymond and his team have worked gallantly to safeguard people of the area in an applaudable way.

Emir Sanusi noted that, the Major worked round the clock and have been responding to distress calls timely and gallantly, he therefore prayed for the repose of the departed souls.

Similarly, Sanusi Asha commended the Nigerian Army for timely posting of new Commander to replace the demised one, saying the new commander arrived the sector Command even before the evacuation of the late Major Raymond’s body.

He also applauded the efforts of the military and other security operatives in the area for their zeal and courage to protect lives and Property of the people of the area and the state in General.

The emir who was accompanied by the emir of Zurmi, Muhammad Bello Sulaiman and other District Heads urged the newly deployed Kaura Namoda sector commander to continue from where his predecessor stopped and work assiduously to champion the tasks ahead.

On his part, Brigade Commander, Brig Gen CA Baushe said, the Nigerian Army would not relent in it’s efforts to ensure restoration of normalcy in the state, saying they will gear up to defeat the heartless bandits.

He then thanked the emir and his entourage for the condolence which indicates a good working relationship between the military and traditional rulers.
