It has been observed that youth restiveness can be addressed through organising football competitions in parts of the country.

Chairman Lapai Football Academy and Chief Executive Officer Mr Batako Umar Lapai stated this at the start of a three day intensive scouting programme organised for eight registered academy in Minna the Niger state capital.  

Mr Batako Umar Lapai said the essence of organising this competition is to ensure that pockets of the youths were picked and taken to Europe for their professional football carrier.

He however explained that an idle mind is a devil workshop thus the need for engaging them by way of catching them young which will no doubt reduce youth restiveness and make them useful to themselves their family and society at large.

According to him the essence of organising the three days fiesta is to expose hiding talents they have discovered across nooks and cranies of Niger state for export to Europe.

Mr Batako Umar Lapai further said the competition is not open to all football teams but it is only identifying with registered academy that have registered with Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria that has the right to sue and be sued.

Of the eight football academy six are from Niger state spread across the three zones with one from Fct Abuja and Kaduna state stressing that the scouted players are going to herald the programme through another match with best team amongst them in a grand finale.

FIFA licenced agent Mr Mario Cavani from Italy is at hanvd and feeling at home to ensure that the competition is a huge success.
