Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has charged cadets to be dedicated and selfless in the discharge of their duties to the nation upon their commissioning.

He gave the charge at a regimental dinner night in honour of passing out officer cadets of sixty-nine regular course of the Nigeria Defence Academy held in Kaduna.

General Lucky Irabor reminded the cadets on the need to uphold the virtues of discipline, loyalty and professionalism which according to him, are the hallmarks of military career.

He stressed the need for them to be cautious, well-behaved and avoid all forms of temptations that could lead them to compromise the standard of military ethics and values for material and self gratification.

The Defence Chief also charged the passing out cadets to brace up to the current expectation to meet up with contemporary challenges by playing their part towards justifying the huge investment that the nation has made on them.

He also implored allied cadets to utilise what they have learnt both in and outside the lecture halls to improve on their careers and establish good relationships with their Nigerian counterparts, as well as be good ambassadors of the institution in their respective countries.

General Irabor commended the Commandant and his team for turning out yet another set of highly qualified and skilled cadets who would soon be despatched to make their inputs in furtherance of the defence and security needs of Nigeria.
