The Kebbi State Police Command has confirmed the death of six people including three Policemen and three civilians following an accident that occurred when a Carina E car, carrying jerrycans of PMS from Birnin Kebbi to Jada village had a head on collusion with a Bullion van belonging to Eco Bank which resulted to fire outbreak .

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nafi’u Abubakar, said a total of five vehicles and one motorcycle was burnt to ashes, six people killed , while others sustained various degree of injuries and were rushed to Federal Medical Center, Birnin Kebbi, for medical attention.

The statement said, on receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora swiftly rushed to the scene where he condoled with the families of the deceased and prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the lives of the departed souls an eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

It stated that, CP Magaji Kontagora is also assured members of the public that, a thorough investigation will be carried out to unravel the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident.
