The leadership of the Senate has again met with the heads of Nigeria’s security apparatus to review their effort in tackling the security challenges in the country.

Addressing newsmen before the meeting went into a close door session, President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan said there has been a massive improvement in the security situation in the country and urged the service chiefs to also channel their attention to the Prosecution of Oil thieves.

Present at the meeting were the Chiefs of Defence, Army, Air and Naval staff including the Inspector General of Police, Directors of DSS, NIA and the National Security Adviser amongst others.

The Senate leadership had earlier met with the service chiefs on the 3rd of August following a resurgence of insecurity which led to the attack on the Kuje minimum correctional center and the subsequent escape of some Boko Haram commanders.
