Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has ordered the closure of all sub standard medical centres in the state. 

This is part of efforts at enhancing and improving health care facilities across the state for effective service delivery.

The Governor gave the order while flagging off the distribution of three point seven million insecticide treated nets in Minna.

Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello however attributed the reduction of malaria prevalence in the state to massive investment by Niger state government in health care services which he said has been yeilded. positive results.

Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire represented by Chief Medical Director Federal Medical Centre Bida Dr Usman Abubakar , said the Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with Niger state government and Roll Back Malaria Programme has recorded huge success especially in the area of improving health status of Nigerians.
