Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has sworn into office eleven new Commissioners with a call on them to be committed, dedicated and dogged in discharging their responsibility as new members of his cabinet.

Addressing the new Commissioners shortly after the swearing-in held at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano in the presence of tens of thousands of party supporters, friends and well wishers who converged on the stadium to witness the occasion , Ganduje stated that their appointment was as a result of the considerable trust and confidence his administration reposed on them.

According to him, their appointment was also predicated on the premise that they would also serve as formidable forces in consolidating the giant strides his administration had remarkably effected in the last seven years, expressing optimism that for the remaining months ahead a spectacular result would be achieved.

” with your swearing-in today, I urged you to be dedicated and absolutely committed in the discharge of your respective assigned roles which were given to you based on trust and the confidence we reposed in you in our bid to accomplish what we have put in the pipeline since our coming on board”.

Speaking earlier, Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji counseled the new Commissioners to strive to live above board in proving to everyone that they are equal to the task ,stressing that it was governor Ganduje’s firm conviction that they would not let his administration down.

He called on them to exhibit the spirit of accountability, probity and honesty and avoid anything capable of casting a slur on their respective credibility at the time when their utmost contribution is most needed.
