Troops of the One Division of the Nigerian Army Kaduna on a fighting patrol led by the GOC, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja have cleared bandits in Buruku, Udawa, Manini, Birnin Gwari, Doka, Maganda, Kuyello and Dogon dawa in Kaduna State

In a statement by Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu says, in the fire fight that ensued during the engagements, the troops overpowered the bandits with superior firepower neutralising one of them, while three others were captured alive, and some of the criminals escaped with gunshot wounds.

According to the statement, the patrol team also recovered one AK47 rifle, 27 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and 18 motorcycles.

The statement urged the public, particularly health facilities and paramedics to watch out for persons who may be seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds, and report to relevant security agencies.
