Jigawa state government has paid over 175 million naira as severance to former supervisors, councillors and special advisers to the local government chairmen.

The Chairman of the forum of old supervisory councilors and special advisers to the local government chairmen, Janaidu Habu Suletankarkar made this known to newsmen in Dutse. 

He said each of the 180 former supervisory councilors received 404,000  naira while each of the 270 special advisers to the local government chairmen received 380,000 as surveillance allowance.

Janaidu Habu said the survellence allowance was for 2015/ 2019 tenure.

According to him, the gesture was aimed at improving their living standard.

Also commenting, the forum women leader Talatu Chamo and the Public Relations Officer Hajiya Talatu Miga commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for his concerned to the forum.
