High Cost Of Politicking Undermining Smaller Parties – Aspirant

Kaduna South House of Representative Candidate under the Social Democratic Party has attributed high cost of politicking as a reason why smaller parties struggle in the country.

The candidate Mr Bilal Adamu Halilu stated this to Newsmen during his campaign team inauguration in Kaduna.

Mr Bilal Adamu said smaller parties are forced to spent huge resources by going down to different communities in order to intimate, dialogue and create the needed awerness for them to be accepted.

“the gap between the Rich and the Poor is one of the main problems smaller parties have as in the civilized society, people will only google candidates and see thier profiles and achievements, and eventually decide for themselves”,he said.

He explained that the expensive nature has the potential to discourage genuine and viable people from contesting elections thereby appealing for fair playing ground where vote buying and selling must be discourage at all levels.

” I showed interest to run for this office because I want to bring the needed change to my people, through good and quality representation where the welfare of the people will be a major priority”,he added.

The candidate remarked that the country belongs to all Nigerians hence the need for electorates to use thier conscience in electing only credible Leaders.

Mr Bilal Adamu Halilu charged Political Parties in the country to be Ideology driven , assuring that Social Democratic Party is the party to bring the needed change to Nigeria.

He applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission on the improved process in electioneering where results are not easily manipulated.

In his remark, the Director General of the Bilal Adamu Campaign Team , Abdul Audu called for politics without religion, tribe or section where only credible candidates are considered and not base on party affiliation.

“the flag bearer is the one that goes to do the work for the party once elected and we don’t want to fall victim of working for political parties alone,we must only vote candidates that can deliver “,he explained.

The DG assured the Kaduna South constituency and the state in general that Bilal Adamu Halilu will connect better with them,and will also be accountable where quality representation will be his only drive.

Over one hundred people from different background within the state were innaugurated with the sole aim of reaching the grassroot through different strategies to achieve desire object
