The first batch of 541 Pilgrims from Kwara state who performed 2022 Hajj in Saudi Arabia have been airlifted back home today.

The pilgrims were airlifted via Max Aircradt 5N-ADM which touch down at the llorin International Airport at about 7:59 am.

The Pilgrims who looked hale and healthy were full of praises as they alight from the aircraft to the hands of their families and loved ones who had spent the night at the Airport waiting for their arrival.

One of the pilgrims, Alhaji Muhammed Tajudeen who spoke with Radio Nigeria, thanked God for a hitch free 2022 pilgrimage.

He urged the State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board to improve more on welfare of the Pilgrims both at home and in the holy land.

A total of 1, 409 pilgrims including officials performed the 2022 Hajj with the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board from Kwara.
