Niger State Pledges Sustainable Collaboration With NGO’s In Health Sector

Niger state government says it will continue to sustain all its health care service arrangements through partnership with relevant agencies and stakeholders for effective service delivery.

Wife of Niger state Governor Dr Amina Abubakar Bello stated this at the flagged off of first round of May June twenty twenty two Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week held in Minna the state capital.

Dr Amina Abubakar Bello gave an assurance that Niger state government will not relent in its effort at providing all necessary resources needed to fast track the smooth implementation of those agreements reached.

She however appealed to Wives of Local Government Councils Chairmen to mobilised women in their areas to ensure the success of the campaign.

Dr Amina Abubakar Bello also called on traditional and relgious leaders in Niger state to educate their subjects and followers on the importance of this exercise to achieve maximum benefits.

Commissioner of Health Dr Mohammed Makunsidi maintained that the support of Niger state government in the eradication of all forms of diseases remain sacrosanct.

In his remarks Coordinator Plan International Nutrition and Behaviour Change Dr Prince Uchenna explained that Plan International Nigeria will focus strategically in improving the health and nutrition of women children and girls through the provision of micronutrients supplements and other life saving nutritional services for optimal benefits.

Dr Prince Uchenna said they will also continue to seek for additional avenues to provide support to adolescent girls women and children throughout Niger state to function effectively.

He added that the plan and projection of Plan International Nigeria is to bridge the gap in ensuring that ten million girls who were unable to learn decide or thrive are supported to achieve their goals or ambition.
