Sabo Oke Ilupeju Community Leaders during the security meeting held in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state- by-ALI MUHAMMAD RABIU

The residents of Sabo-Oke Ilupeju Community, in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state have appealed for the creation of security out post to addres the lingering security challenges in the community.

Chairman of the Community, Elder Abiodun Afolabi made the appeal at a security submmit organised by the Community in Ilorin.

He called for synergy between the community and security agencies to reduce crimes to the minimum in the community.

Elder Afolabi stressed the need to employ the services of private security guards to complement the efforts of other security agencies.

He appealed to the electricity distribution company to ensure adequate provision of electricity at night to prevent the activities of criminal elements.

In his address, the Acting State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command, Jonah Gabriel, represented by the Chief Suprerintendent of Corps, Salman Surajudeen, urged the community Leaders to ensure timely sharing of intelligence Information to assist the security agencies in discharging their duties.
