Yobe North APC Senatorial Candidate, Bashir Sheriff Machina has rejected the substitution of Ahmed Lawan’s name as Senatorial Candidate for Yobe North.
Machina, who declared his disapproval in a press conference in Abuja, vowed to seek Legal Redress if INEC accepted the name of Senator Lawan as the candidate.
According to him, the substitution of his name by the leadership of the Party is illegal, unjustifiable and unconstitutional.
Mr Machina said he hadn’t stepped down and was not ready to relinquish his ticket to anyone.
He called on INEC to respect the provisions of the new Electoral Act and reject the “unconstitutional substitution” of Senator Lawan’s name.
