2023 Election: Ex-Ministers Win PDP Primaries In Zamfara

Former Minister of Communication Alhaji Ikira Aliyu Bilbis and former Minister of Environment Col. Bala Mande retired.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP Zamfara state chapter has declared two former ministers as the winners of the party primaries in the state.

Alhaji Ikira Aliyu Bilbis a former minister of communication was
declared winner of the PDP primaries for Zamfara Central while Bello S/Faggon and Retired Colonel, Bala Mande emerged unopposed at the Zamfara West and East Senatorial Zones.

Retired Colonel Bala Mande, a former minister of environment who was also a former Nasarawa State military administrator won the candidacy for Zamfara North senatorship come 2023.

Declaring the Zamfara Central Senatorial Zone result, the Returning Officer, Alhaji Kabiru Usman said Ikira Aliyu Bilbis had a landslide victory ,polling 143 while Lawali Barau scored 4 votes and Dr Na-Allah Isa Mayana scored 2 votes.

In a remark, while answering questions from newsmen, former Minister of Communication Ikira Aliyu Bilbis thanked the delegates for finding him worthy to contest for Senatorship come 2023 elections in the state.

He assured readiness to represent them adequately at the upper chamber if voted as senator for Zamfara central, saying he would not disappoint the electorates.

Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace has won Gusau /Tsafe federal constituency seat after the opponent withdrew from the race, While Ibrahim Ibrahim Wanbai won Gusau (one )State Assembly seat after beating three other contestants.
